to me
You and your friends sneak into an abandoned lab. You discover an old device with a red button and a seemingly inactive portal. Little do they know that they somehow ended up in a top-secret U.S. experimental facility from the 80's. You push the red button and hop in the portal. After a few seconds you feel fuzzy and a bright white light is all you can see. After this, you wake up in an unfamiliar climate.
You open your eyes accompanied with a warm breeze, the setting is a tropical planet with devastating heat. Vines twist around thick tree trunks, climbing toward the sun. Some hang loose, swaying in the breeze, while others grip fallen branches, creeping along the ground. The jungle floor is tangled with ferns, their leaves brushing against mossy roots. Everything feels alive rocks, logs, even the thick, damp air. Shadows shift as vines sway, forming tunnels of twisting greenery where little light reaches. In the distance, a soft rustling hints at unseen movement, slipping through the dense overgrowth. You go to investigate the movement, terrified as to what it could be you hear the creature softly breathing. Its just a pig, all of your worries slowly fade away, the pig seems larger and a bit different to what you normally see, Where am I?
As you are exploring you notice that the sunlight begins to dim and evening is approaching. You rush to find some sort of shelter, and while finding one, you stumble upon a lake surrounded by thick trees. You decide to set up camp here for the night and craft a makeshift mattress from ferns and leaves. As you are sleeping you once again hear vigorous rustling in the leaves and eerie sounds of what seems to be some type of animal in the distance. The sounds get louder and louder, you hear the sounds of the creature. Before you can even think, the creature starts chasing you deeper into the forest. You somehow manage to lose the medium-sized creature across the trees and slowly work your way back to the lake to sleep. But this time, more vigilance.
